Location..Location..Location

...is the mantra any good real estate agent will tell you determines the desirability of a home.  That phrase repeatedly came to mind when we selected our apartment earlier this spring.

We chose to rent an apartment in "The Metropolitan at Pentagon City" and I'm discovering what a great decision that was. 

Its Pentagon City location is right across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. and close to so many amenities.

Food

The Harris Teeter grocery store is only 1 block away.

Fashion

The "Fashion Centre at Pentagon City" mall is just across the street to the north. 

Even better...Nordstrom Rack offering deep discounts on last season's fashions is opposite the mall.

Fiction

The Aurora Hills branch of Arlington County Public Library is within easy walking distance, located on the south side of Highland Park.

Fitness

A fitness center is located on the ground level of our apartment building.

Fast Transit

The Pentagon City Metro Station is less than a block away, granting easy access to the entire metropolitan area.

And while I'd agree that the view from our 12th floor balcony looks very urban...

...I need only to lean over the balcony to enjoy Highland Park directly to the south.

Forest

Highland Park is a lush oasis of trees and greenery in the midst of the city.

And for now, that's enough to satisfy this Kansas farm girl's heart.
