NYC's Works of Art

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Yesterday we were on the west side of Central Park; today Jillian and I walked to the east side of the park where the Metropolitan Museum of Art is located. 

How can one begin to appreciate over 3 million artworks currently on display in this museum?  I could only select a few favorite masterpieces.

Demuth based his painting upon the poem, "The Great Figure," written by his friend, William Carlos Williams.

through the dark city.

Walking back to the hotel through Central Park gave us the chance to view these works of art.

Late in the afternoon we met Tim at the Empire State Building, an Art Deco masterpiece.

We were enthralled to watch the city light up as dusk descended!

John's Pizzeria for dinner!

John's Pizzeria is located in a former church which was also a work of art.

We enjoyed the pizza, but we were too rushed to document our dinner with a photo.  We had tickets to another masterpiece, the Broadway production of The Phantom of the Opera.  Here's a brief glimpse of what we saw!
